My name is Christiane Camarillo. I was born in New Hampshire and my parents moved to Charleston when I was 6 months old. I graduated from Old Wando and then later graduated from the College of Charleston. My husband of 24 years is from Morelos, Mexico. I have always loved languages, cultures, and traveling, but through my husband is where I found an instant passion for the Spanish language and all of the cultures that speak it! We have two sons 24 and 20, and a 90 lb. , 7 year old dog (a horse). My oldest son is a graduate of the College of Charleston. My youngest son is a sophomore at Clemson University. We all love to travel, go to the beach, soccer (futbol), and food! We always try local, food dives when we travel! I am a lady of many passions. I LOVE teaching high school Spanish (all levels) and educating others not only of the language, but the cultures, as well as how connected we all really are. When learning a world language, you learn, art, music, history, cuisine, enviornment, politics, customs, about your own heritage... the possibilities are endless! I also enjoy mentoring kids and have stayed in touch with MANY of my former students over the years! I love planning events and have done any school event you can think of, luncheons, banquets, small weddings,  baby showers, birthday parties of all ages, and often hold events at my home. One of my all time favorite things to do is to decorate and do interior design. I have done small,  local restaurants, dorm rooms, and homes. Anyone that knows me, knows that they can come to my closet at school, or my spare room at home for some kind of decor they may need, or a spirt week outfit for school :). I just love it all!

• fruit  and more fruit!! Grapefruit is my all time favorite! 

• cucumber and mint water

• Obsessed w/ Flamingos (yes, even the tacky ones). 

•  Cool cups and seasonal coffee mugs for work ( I think it is a teacher thing)

• spending time with my family!

• decorating and entertaining (do in my "spare" time)

• traveling, trying new , cultural cuisine, mixing with locals

• THE BEACH!! My favorite place!

• NEW YORK (I always say if I could, I would have a house here and one in Miami, with a condo still in Charleston as well). :) A girl can dream! 

• coming home to my giant dog who is always happy to see us!

• SERIOUSLY passionate about animals; just as much as kids! 

• Concerts: My kids and I are huge music fanatics! 

MUSIC!!! ALL GENRES! CAN NOT FUNCTION WITHOUT IT! MY SPOTIFY HAS EVERYTHING FROM PATSY CLINE, JOHNNY CASH to THE ROLLING STONES, FLEETWOOD MAC, STOP LIGHT OBSERVATIONS, SLIGHTLY STOOPID, AND TRADITIONAL FLAMENCO FROM SPAIN, REGGAE,HIP HOP, RAP, and my all time favorite,Muddy Waters, Otis Redding... I could go on for days! My spotify is a HUGE mix of genres as well as music from all countries!
